Oct 26, Yerevan, ARM: IBA & Iron & Gloves (Kirill Shchekutyev) IBA Champion's Night 10x3, Murat Gassiev, 104,6, Arm KO 5 Kem Ljungquist, 106,4, Den Gassiev took his time, picked his punches well , took over in the fifth and ended the fight with a left hook to the body. The difference between the Gassiv that fought Otto Wallin a year ago and now was his left that was in "working shape". Ljungquist, a southpaw like Wallin, boxed well but couldn't keep his shorter opponent away and lack's Wallin's footwork - and as Gassiev used his left it made a difference. Gassiev hurt Ljungquist with body punches and then finished the job.

Oct 25, Holstebro, DEN; Grakjaer Hall, TK Promotion The Last Dance 10x2: Dina Thorslund, 52,9, Den W10-U Terumi Nuki, Japan, 52,4, Jap Thorslund retained the WBC and WBO titles on scores of 99-91 on all cards. Nuki was tough and durable, kept coming like a robot but was outboxed and walked into some heavy counters. Thorslund was not at her best though and as the pace slowed Nuki won the fifth it and was close in a few other rounds. For Thorslund it's retirement or big fights abroad, which is why the show was billed as the Last Dance. 6x3:Victor Hoveling, 69,3, Den TKO 2 (2.38) Dmitri Blinov, 69,7, Mol Hoveling had things his way until late in the first when Blinov opened up and landed with a few hard punches. In the second Blinov landed with a good right and the Dane was shaken - but then scored with a good right and now Blinov seemed to be in trouble. Hoveling poured it on and the referee stopped it - too soon. 8x3: Oliver Zaren, 75,8, Den TKO 2 (2.13) Roberto Arriaza,, 75,8, Nic/Spa Zaren showed good variety in the first and even went southpaw at the end of the round. In the second he nailed Arriaza with a right uppercut and that caused the first knockdown. Three more followed before it was stopped. Arriaza looked hurt at first knockdown but went over rather easily in the other three where two came from body punches. 6x2: Melissa Mortensen, 57,1, Den KO 2 (0.19) Nino Mgebrishvili, ?, Geo Mgebrishvili was a Late sub for Gabriella Mezsei and was new to boxing, a novice. She had no business being in the ring with Mortensen, who for some reason didn't get over with until the second. 4x3: Francis Fordjour, 61,6, Den TKO 1 (2.33) Mihail Zubenco, 62,0, Mol Fordjour put Zubenco under pressure right from the start and stunned him twice - it was one way traffic but Zubenco, a southpaw was not in serious trouble when it was stopped but wasn't fighting back either. Oct 19, Falkensee, GER, Stadthalle, Agon Sports & Kuc Boxing, bdb 12x3: William Scull, 76,0, Cub/Ger W12-U Vladimir Shishkin, 76,0, Rus/Ger Scull won the vacant IBF title on scores of 116-113, 116-112 and 115-113. Scoring from TV (thank you SAS) I had it 115-114 Scull. It was a close, tense tactical affair with no drama, no highlights where Shishkin, a very big super middleweight, tried to find the range for his jab and then follow up with his right. Scull either blocked, slipped or countered that jab and that was the story of the fight. Many rounds were difficult to score. In the last round Shishkin seemed to stun Scull with something but the Cuban was able to smother his opponent and lasted the distance. 10x3: Dusan Veletic, 99,5, B & H/Ger W10-U Tomas Saek, 105,0, Cze Veletic won the vacant German Int'l (BDB) title on scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93. Salek tried hard but was too slow - and the fight was like a bull fight only that the matador, Veletic, lacked the punch and killer instinct to do some harm. He did lose some rounds but that was because he wasn't working hard enough. 8x3:: Paul Wall, 69,5, Ger TKO 7 (2.53) Nourden Toure, 69,6, Fin Wall, a southpaw, dominated from the start and had Toure under heavy pressure but somehow got in trouble during the fourth but recovered and finally floored the Finn in the seventh and it was stopped. Toure looked rusty and awkward. 8x3: Sanel Hasnpvic, 1115 0, B & H TKO 4 (2.04) Crhistian Demaj, 111,0, Ger Demaj, much shorter, tried hard but once Hasanovic found the range it was all over. Demaj, one eye swollen and the nose bleeding badly went down, got up but moments later retired himself. 8x3, m: Vincenzo Gualtieri, Ger KO 1 Job Ezequiel Herrera, Aeg 8x3, sw: Jan Meiser, Ger TKO 4 Yasur Yüksel, Ger 8x3, sf: Hamsat Shadalov, Ger TKO 1 Janos Czifrik, Hun Three knockdowns. 6x3, lh: Georgy Gubeladze, Ger W6-U Gregorz Mardyla, Pol 4x3, h: Eyman Chamdid, Ger TKO 1 Pavel Siska, Cze Ssiak was floored three times and was a late sub for Petr Frohlich.

Oct 19, Riga, LAT. Dream Boxing 10x3, m: Lucas Basilda, Arg TKO 8 (0.30) Bohdan Sobol, Ukr/Lat Announced as a "tko" but this was a knockout, and a bad one. Sobol was awake but very unsteady and they dragged him out of the ring on a blanket hopefully to be put on a stretcher when the telecast ended, After a tense opener Basila hurt and floored Sobol in the second and while it was a flash knockdown he showed what he could do. Soobol boxed well though working behind the jab and won the fourth and fifth. But Basilda came back and stunned Sohol in the sixth and seventh. Sohol had a bad swelling around the right eye and probably couldn't see Basida's left hook. Early in the eighth Sohol was again hurt and Basilda broke through landing punch after punch with the referee too late in stepping in. When Sohol finally fell he was badly out of it.
