It will be a night of the heavyweights on the SES promotion July 11 at the GETEC Arena in Magdeburg when Ruslan Chagaev (33-2-1) defends the WBA regular heavyweight title against Francesco Pianeta (31-1-1) in what is also an all-southpaw clash. Both men have also been second best - to put it nicely - against Wladimir Klitschko but it´s still an interesting matchup and can Pianeta finally put it all together we might see a new heavyweight champion.

On the undercard there’s heavyweights only in German champ Michael Wallisch (14-0), Int’l German champ Steffen Kretschmann (19-2), Tom Schwarz (12-0) and also Edmund Gerber (24-2) who like Pianeta is a former Sauerland fighter.

WBC female superwelter champ Mikaela Lauren (24-3-1) take on WBO counterpart Hanna Gabriel (14-1-1) June 6 at Eriksdalshallen in Stockholm (Sweden) in a title unification. Lauren still also cling on to a numer of minor titles.
The show is promoted by Lauren and Mikaela is probably the hardest working woman in the boxing business. Outside of training and promoting she´s also a coach and personal trainer, makes personal appearances and is featured in a ten episode documentary that currently airs on Swedish TV.
Lauren also has a defence coming up on Trinidad & Tobago that’s been postponed twice already and the latest is that this fight will go ahead in July - if Mikaela gets past “La Amazona” Gabriel that is and many experts feel the WBO Queen will be too good for her.

French lightheavy champ Patrick Bois (14-3-1) defends the title against Hugo Kasperski (25-5-1) June 4 in Clermont Ferrand. Kasperski moved up to 175 last year after spending the bulk of his career at supermiddle. It’s the second defence by Bois since regaining the title after losing to current IBF # 1 Nadjib Mohammedi.
