18th June 2015 – Today in Milan Principe Boxing Events and Opi 2000 held the press conference of their next show: on Saturday, June 20, at legendary Principe theater in Milan. In the main event, Emanuele Blandamura (Italy, 23-1-1) will fight Michel Soro (France, 26-1-1) for the vacant European middleweight title. Soro is coming from a big win against Glen Tapia (ko4) for the USBA and NABF super welterweight titles last May 8 at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey (USA). Blandamura is no stranger to the big scene: he was European Union middleweight champion and fought for the European middleweight crown in Manchester (U.K.) losing to Billie Joe Saunders (ko8). The Ivory Coast born Soro is also a former French super welterweight champion and WBO-IBO world super welterweight challenger losing on points to Zaurbek Baysangurov on May 12, 2012 in Ukraine. So, we have a thrilling fight between two top pugilists.

 

 

As if this wasn’t enough, Italian super lightweight champion Andrea Scarpa (17-2) will defend against Emanuele De Prophetis (16-7) on the 10 rounds distance. Scarpa will go to the ring with popular Italian rapper Mondo Marcio.

 

On the undercard, rising cruiserweight Matteo Rondena (4-0 with 3 kos) and super welterweight Maxim Prodan (1-0).

 

50% of the gate will be donated to a charity organization (GVC) which will use the money to build a school in Nepal.

 

The main event will be televised in Italy by Deejay TV.
