WBO supermiddle champ Arthur Abraham (43-4) have extended his contract with Sauerland Event until the end of 2017. And not only that Abraham and Sauerland says they again are going after the big stars at 168. Abraham lost three out of four fights in the Super Six tournament and was outclassed by the likes of Andre Ward, Andre Dirrell and Carl Froch and have since then steered clear of the big names.

After the Froch fight Abraham announced he was going to moved down to middleweight again but those plans were quickly dropped. The older, and wiser Abraham is a probably not as strong as he once was and his barrages of punches are not so wild and not so long anymore but he´s a smarter fighter, picks his shots well, and pace himself better and the way he took apart Robert Stieglitz in their fourth and last fight was quite impressive.

EU lightheavy champ Mehdi Amar (31-4-2) will make a voluntary defence October 17 in Ardennes (France) against the ever dangerous to be announced.

Mandatory challenger for Amar is Welsh veteran Enzo Maccarinelli (39-7) but Amar vs Maccarinelli will - if it comes off - go ahead late 2015 or early 2016.

EU superlightweight champ Sandor Martin (23-1) will make a voluntary defence of the title in November in Barcelona (Spain). Martin is promoted by Gallego Prada and boxing is coming back in Spain with bigger and bigger shows and especially so in Catalonia.

Mandatory challenger for Martin is Sweden's Anthony Yigit, who is promoted by Sauerland but based in on the Spanish Canary Islands.
