EURO NEWSBy Per-Ake Persson Big time boxing have pretty much left Hamburg since Universum folded a few years ago but there’s plenty of smaller events and October 2 Kentikian Promotes, headed by WBA female flyweight champ Susi Kentikian, stage their inaugaral show headlined by Kentikian herself. No opponent has been announced yet. The undercard features cruiser Senad Gashi (9-0), lightweight Magomed Jangubaev (7-0-1) and Alicia Melina Kummer (7-0).
On October 3 promoter Holger Petersen returns to the Braamkamp Sporthall with middleweight Raul Bejaran (18-2) and lightheavy Abel Gevor (10-0) headlining.

The heavyweight clash between Adrian Granat (7-0) and Konstantin Airich (29-14-2) will go ahead already on Friday (August 28) in Galati (Romania) on the undercard to Christian Hammer vs Sherman “Tank” Williams. This fight was first set for a show in Gifhorn September 15 and then moved a couple of times more but was finally set for the Galati show after Granat’s opponent Liviu Ungureanu pulled out.

Former IBF superbantam champ Kiko Martinez (32-6) returns November 14 in Las Palmas and co-headline a show along with Ceferino Rodriguez a/k/a Ferino V (19-1).
Martinez suffered a bad loss to Scott Quigg last time but is still looking to make it back to the big fights while Rodriguez could be heading for the US soon as he is promoted over there by Sampson Boxing.

There will be three title fights on top of the bill on SES' show in Belantis bei Leipzig September 19. Lightheavy Dominic Boesel (19-0) defends the WBO I/C title against an opponent to be announced. Felix Lamm (10-1) and Philipp Schuster (22-2-1) fight for the Int’l German welter title and middleweights Dominic von Chrzanowski (18-0-1) and Jan Meiser (9-0) clash for the vacant German Crown.

The highlight on the Dutch boxing scene is the annual Ben Bril Memorial at the Theatre Carre in Amsterdam and again welterweight Rafik Harutjunjan (9-0) headlines and defends the WBFed title against Kelvin Dotel (9-1). Harutjunjan won the title in the very same venue a year ago and have been inactive since.
Also on the bill is supermiddle Gevorg Khatchikian (21-1).

WBO # 4 and WBA # 10 superbantam Zsolt Bedak (24-1) headlines Felix-Promotion’s first show of the new season September 17 in Szentes (Hungary) in a scheduled ten-rounder against an opponent to be announced.
Also on the bill are reigning Hungarian champs such cruiser Imre Szello (7-0), featherweight Robert Laki (9-0-1), lightheavy Richard Baranyi (12-1) as well as lightheavy Balasz Kelemen (24-1).
