French EuroProm were the sole  bidders at the purse bids today in Rome for Thomas Masson’s defence of the EBU flyweight title against former champ Kevin Satchell. EuroProm bid 20 200,00 Euro. Date and site is to be announced.

Masson-Satchell go back to the fall of 2014 when Satchell (14-0) held the EBU title and Masson (14-3-1) was mandatory challenger. For one reason or another the fight always fell through until Satchell was finally stripped of the belt. Masson then beat Valery Yanchy to win the vacant title and this is his first defence.

Italian superwelter Marcello Matano (15-1) defends the IBF I/C title October 31 in Ferrara on a Loreni Boxe promotion against German challenger Nick Klappert (20-1). In the co-feature welterweight Alessandro Caccia (14-1) take on Michele Esposito (8-2) in a defence of the national title.

The undercard features the prodebut of amateur star Fabio Turchi, who takes on Adis Dadovic (2-9) in a fight made at cruiser.

Heavyweight Alexander Dimitrenko (36-2) have been added to the benefit show for seriously injured heavyweight boxer Dennis Boytsov Oct 24 in Hamburg. It will be a scheduled ten-rounder but opponent have yet to be announced. Dimitrenko was all set to fight on the undercard to Chagaev-Oquendo today in Kiel but that show was cancelled at late notice.

Topping the bill is cruiser Nuri Seferi (36-7) and heavyweight Adrian Granat (8-0).
