Mohoumadi defends against Brischetto

Next Saturday, November 7, Principe Theater in Milan (Italy) will host the ninth show in eleven months promoted by Principe Boxing Events and OPI 2000.

Milan, November 2, 2015 – In the main event European super middleweight champion Hadillah Mohoumadi (France, 19 wins – 14 inside the distance – 3 losses and 1 draw) will defend against Giuseppe Brischetto (13-3). Mohoumadi is a former French champion and is coming from the biggest win of his career as he stopped in eight rounds  Mariano Hilario in Spain last May for the vacant EBU crown.

Brischetto should have faced Valerio Ranaldi for the vacant Italian super middleweight title on November 6 in Sicily, but he pulled out to get the biggest chance of his career. Brischetto has the distinction of knocking out in two rounds Orial Kolaj, an Italian-Albanian brawler who would go on to became Italian and European Union light heavyweight champion. It was Brischetto’s second professional fight.

“This show proves that Principe theater has become the house of boxing in Milan – explains Principe Boxing Events president Alessandro Cherchi – and that’s what I wanted when I started. The economic capital of Italy had every top sports and entertainment event but boxing. I wanted to fill that void and I needed a venue. I had the Broadway Boxing Series promoted by Lou Di Bella in mind as an example. Lou has been a friend of my father Salvatore (OPI 2000 president) for years and I know his shows well. Principe theater has the same capacity of B.B. King Blues Bar and Grill in Manhattan (about 500 people) and was perfect to launch new talent, mostly local kids. Promoting European super lightweight champion Michele Di Rocco’s defenses was a step up. With this European super middleweight championship we keep the bar high. I’m sure the fans will appreciate.”

The undercard at Principe theater will offer 5 fights on the 6 rounds distance: 
welterweigths: Antonio Moscatiello (Italy, 19-2-1) vs Sasa Janjic (Serbia, 5-8)
middleweights:  Catalin Paraschiveanu (Romania, 9-0) vs Aleksandar Cigaranovic (Serbia, 3-2-2)
light heavyweights: Luca Podda (Italy, 6-0) vs Mile Nikolic (Serbia, 16-27-1-1 no-contest)
super welterweights: Diego Di Luisa (Italy, 3-0) vs Bojan Radovic (Serbia, 3-6)
super welterweights: Maxim Prodan (Ukraine, 4-0) vs Stanisalv Sakic (Bosnia and Herzegovina, 3-17-1)

The event will be broadcast by Deejay Tv in Italy, FightKlub in Poland and L’Equipe Tv in France.
