EURO NEWSBy Per-Ake Persson Cruiserweight Noel Gevor (19-0) defends the WBO International title against Nuri Seferi (36-7) in the chief support to Vincenct Feigenbutz vs Davide De Carolis January 9 in Offenburg. Gevor's goal is a world title fight during 2016 and he´s already # 2 with the WBO, # 13 WBA, # 11 IBF and # 16 EBU.
In Seferi Gevor face a tough and experienced opponent. He's been inactive since January when he lost to then future WBO champ Krzystof Glowacki and then a fight against Damir Beljo in Bosnia was postponed several times.

As previously reported Paulie Malignaggi will now take on Antonio Mosciatello December 12 in London and not fight for the EBU welterweight title against Gianluca Branco. However, Malignaggi and Mosciatello will instead fight for the EU title after the co-challengers for the vacant belt withdrew.
As for the Branco fight, the EBU champion released a statement in which it ruled that he withdrew from the fight mid-November due to an injury and that everyone involved, including Team Malignaggi, in addition to his entourage, knew about this.

EBU lightweight champ Edis Tatli now have Ricky Burns as official challenger. The EBU have already called for purse bids and they will opened 21 december at noon in Rome.
Tatli – Burns was on the cards already this fall but fell through.

The undercard to The World Awaits show in Nykoping, Sweden, December 19 is headlined by local lightheavy star Erik Skoglund taking on Derek Edwards over ten three minute non-title rounds.
On the undercard Anthony Yigit face veteran DeMarcus Corley but not over 10x3 as was planned but over 8x3 after the Martial Arts Delegation felt Corley was overmatched over the longer distance. Sauerland Promotion re-applied for a fight over 8x3 and that was approved.
Heavyweight Otto Wallin's fight against Samir Kurtagic had a similar fate. It was nixed by MAD over 8x3 but later approved for 6x3.
All the problems with above fights led to lightheavies Sven Fornling and Alexander Hagen will fight over 4x3.
12-minutes is the max distance generally allowed for professional boxing in Sweden. For anything above that one need special permission from the Martial Arts Delegation.

Dec 4, Herlev, DEN, Herlevhallerne, Super Brian & Mogens Palle Promotion
8x2: Daniel Heinze, 74,8, Den, debut W8-U Samir Santos Barbosa, 75,4, Bra
80-72 on all cards. Heinze outboxed the veteran and kept him on the ropes for long spells but could never hurt him. The two minute distance helped of course the newcomer but he still paced himself carefully. But all in all a good debut.
6x2: Pierre Madsen, 109,7, Den, debut TKO 1 (1.43) Randy Billiott, 94.9. US
Billiott was floored twice and then hurt by a right hook downstairs and it was stopped. Madsen looked good while Billiott was brave but not much else.
10x3: Lolenga Mock, 75,1, Den W10-M Alessandro Sinacore, 76,0, Ita
97-93, 96-94 and 95-95. Mock is a slow and faded but full of fight and with relentless stamina and just kept coming. Sinacore, a southpaw, boxed well but couldn´t take the pressure and was outworked. It looked like clear win for Mock.
8x2: Andreas Lynggaard, 76,1, Den W8-U Charles Adamu, 75,1, Gha
78-74 twice and 78-75. Lynggaard was too fast for Adamu but looked at times that he would wilt under pressure from the aging veteran - and the two minute rounds played a big part in this one,
6x2: Tobias Sörig, 90,0, Den, debut W6-U Marek Kovalevskis, 89,4, Lat
60-52 twice and 60-51. Kovalevskis was down in the first and third and fell over a few times more. Marek finished totally exhausted but did surive. Sörig was too green and eager.
6x2: Jörgen Madsen, 77,0, Den, debut W6-U Curtis Gargano, 86,2, Uk
60-54 on all cards. Weights correctly listed. Gargano covered up, showboated and spoiled while Madsen boxed well with straight punches.
6x3: Goncalo Pimenta, 65,3, Por TKO 5 (1.19) Morten Olson, 65,2, Den
Olson came out very fast and worked Pimenta over especially to the body but the Portugese held up well under pressure. Olson faded a bit and was open for counters and it developed into a very tough fight. The Dane took too much but kept coming and was ahead after four at 39-37 twice and 40-36 after four. Pimento then hurt his opponent in the fifth and didn´t let him off the hook and it was stopped with Olson out on his feet.
