Signani will challenges for the vacant title

French middleweight Michel Soro (27-1-1) have relinquished

the EBU title. He had been set to face official challenger Matteo Signani (22-4-3) March 12 in Paris. Soro is # 3 WBC at 160 and also # 3 with the IBF but at superwelter.

EuroProm had won purse bids for the right to stage the fight with an offer for 32 875 Euro (about 35 822 USD).

Soro earned almost twice this amount when he won the EBU title last year.

Signani will now face the highest available challenger for the vacant title.
