Returns to the ring on Friday April 22

Former EBU middleweight campion Amin Asikainen (28-4) returns to the ring on Friday (April 22) for a one-fight comeback in Lappavirta (Finland). The 40-year old ”Idi” Amin was last seen in the ring in the spring of 2011 when he was stopped by Piotr Wilczewski in a fight for the then vacant EBU supermiddleweight title. Asikainen have since remained in boxing as a trainer and now want to close out his career with a win. Opponent on Friday is Croatian Ivan Jukic (22-8). Jukic comes with a decent record but have lost every time he has stepped up in class.

The show in Lappavirta is promoted by Maeki Boxing, headed by Pekka Maeki, Asikainen´s career long trainer and manager. Also on the bill is hardpunching superlightweight prospect Nordeen Toure (6-1) and superfeather Tuomo Eronen (15-4).
