FORNLING STOPS TCHOULA

In Hamburg, made his debut for his new promoter

EC Boxing's latest signing, Swedish lightheavy Sven Fornling (pictured), now 10-0, made his debut for his new promoter last night in Hamburg and stopped Leo Tchoula, who didn't come out for the second of a scheduled eight-rounder. Tchoula was 9-1 after his first ten fights but have since lost 14 straight and this was his sixth inside the distance loss in a row.

Next up for Fornling is a fight in Kassel June 4 where his stablemates, heavyweights Christian Hammer and Adrian Granat top the bill along with lightheavy Karo Murat.

In other German news, SES announced that heavyweight prospect Tom Schwarz (16-0) will defend the WBO Youth title against an opponent to be announced June 4 on an outdoor show in Magdeburg.
