 Heavyweight Robert Helenius (22-1) takes on German Konstantin Airich (23-17-1 with the Bigger is Better fights excluded – with them Airich´s record looks more like 32-18-2) September 10 at the Baltic Hall in Mariehamn.
Helenius vs Airich tops a show sponsored by local betting company Paf and is billed as the Viking Rises.
Interviewed by Juhani Gronberg the Nordic Nightmare acknowledges that mistakes were made in the training leading up to the fight against Johan Duhaupas in April that Robert lost on a sixth round knockout.
-The conditioning was fine but technically and tactically we need to make some improvements, said Robert, who is trained by Johan Lundstrom and will prepare at home in Mariehamn with sparring flown in.
Helenius have spent a lot of time on the road training and sparring with Wladimir Klitschko, Alexander Povetkin and of lately Tyson Fury.
Also on the bill in Mariehamn is Cuban-Finnish lightheavy Dayron Lester (4-0) and Icelandic heavyweight Gunnar Kolbeinn Kristinsson (6-0).
