Danish welter Kim Poulsen (27-3, 7ko) have of recently had it pretty tough. Not only did he lose some important fights he also had to fight off a tumor but is now fit and will be training at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles with the Freddie Roach team of trainers. US debut is set for September 24 in Los Angeles. Behind this is Danish-American promoter Peter Bo Rasmussen, who´s been working with Top Rank for some shows. As for Poulsen he´s been living in Vienna (Austria) for the last few years and been promoted by BoxTeam Vienna after leaving Team Sauerland.

Italian lightweight Massimiliano Ballisai (18-3) is now in Helsinki (Finland) sparring with EBU champ Edis Tatl. Ballisai lost to Tatli in March and then tried to make it to the Olympics but lost in the qualifications in Venezuela.

Tatli (27-1) is in training for a defence in Savonlinna August 13 against Spaniard Cristian Morales (14-1-1).

The WBC Francophone middleweight champ Patrice Sou Toke (22-5) defends the title against globetrotting Frenchman Howard Cospolite (15-5-1) August 19 in Ougadaougo (Burkina Faso). Cospolite was well on his way to win the EU title earlier this year but got caught and was knocked out Ruben Diaz.
