Kal Yafai has won all 21 of his professional fights, with 14 victories coming inside the distance

Britain's Kal Yafai won the WBA super-flyweight title with a unanimous decision over Luis Concepcion.

Yafai dominated from the opening bell, flooring his opponent in the 10th round and winning 120-108, 119-108 and 117-110 on the judges' scorecards.

The belt could only be won by Yafai after the Panamanian was stripped of it when he failed to make the weight.

The 27-year-old, unbeaten in 21 professional fights, is the first boxer from Birmingham to win a world title.

Yafai had previously held the Commonwealth and British super-flyweight belts, and won a silver medal at the 2010 European Championships during his amateur career.

Unbeaten #11 WBA Khalid Yafai (21-0, 14 KOs) defeated former WBA super flyweight champion Luis Concepcion (35-5, 24 KOs) by a 12 round unanimous decision to capture the vacant WBA 115lb title on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. The final judges’ scores were 120-108, 119-108 and 117-110.

Boxing News 24 scored the fight 7 rounds to 5 in favor of Yahfai. The challenger got credit for a knockdown in the 10th round in which Yafai pushed Concepcion to the canvas with a left hand. Referee Howard Foster blew the call by scoring it a knockdown when it reality it was a push.

Concepcion lost his WBA title on the scales last Friday when he came in 2 1/2 pounds over the super flyweight limit. The title was then stripped from him. It was still on the line for the 27-year-old Yafai to win though.
