EURO NEWSBy Per-Ake Persson The WBO eliminator at supermiddleweight between former WBA lightheavy contender Robin Krasniqi (46-4) and former WBO champ Arthur Abraham (45-5) will go ahead April 22 at the Congress Center in Erfurt with SES promoting. The date have been set for some time but not the venue. It´s a fine matchup with the winner heading for a world title fight while loser face a long way back. ******************** Sauerland Promotion and Nordic Fight Night heads to the northern parts in Sweden and have heavyweight Otto Wallin (17-0) fighting at home in Sundsvall probably April 22. There have been talks of Wallin headlining a NFN show for some time and the Joey Gamache trained fighter have shown steady improvement. On Tuesday (Feb 21) there will be a press conference in Sundsvall to make it all official. ******************** The Czech leg of German promotional outfit SES stage a show March 11 in Prague with WBO Euro superwelter champ Stephan Horvath (17-5) defending the title against German Arthur Herrman (17-2). On the undercard heavyweight prospect Tom Schwarz (17-0) returns after an injury related layoff. ******************** Hungarian superfeather Zoltan Kovacs (19-5-1) retained the WBO Euro title last night in Papa with a ten round unanimous decision over Italian challenger Nicola Cipolletta (13-5-2). It was scored 97-93 on all cards. ******************** EBU flyweight champion Vincent Legrand (22-0) makes a voluntary defence of the title against Spaniard Angel Moreno (11-3-2) March 16 in Paris on a Jean Marc Mormeck promotion.
