Lolenga Mock
Jan 5, Copenhagen, DEN, Frederiksbergshallerne, Mogens Palle & Brian Nielsen,
Danish Fight Night, postponed from Nov 25, Palle´s 60th anniversary.
Lolenga Mock, 75,1, Den W10-U Dmitrii Chudinov, 76,1, Rus
96-93 twice and 99-90. Chudinov lost his mouthpiece four times and twice in the final round and had a point deducted in what was a close, tactical fight. Mock, taller and bigger, used his jab and didn´t apply as much pressure as he normally does and kind of outboxed Chudinov, who made a good start but then faded a bit. Many rounds were close and difficult to score but after nine I had Mock ahead 5-4 in rounds - and he won the last and thus gets a good win over world ranked opponent and is now 11-0 in two years, all wins against good opponents.
10x3: Sven Fornling, 79,3, Swe TKO 4 (not out) Jeppe Morell, 79,3, Den
Fornling retained the IBF Baltic title and won "the Battle of the Nordic Crown" when Morrell (and his corner) messed up good and retired himself with a badly cut right eye. Morell, a southpaw, came out fast and landed with solid right-left combinations but Fornling soon got going and countered the Dane with his right. Late In the second right after a hard exchange heads clashed and Morell was cut. If the referee called it I couldn´t tell but the doctor was at no time consulted. Morell was clearly disturbed and even called for the ref to check his cut but was told to fight on. Morell attacked but was too wild and at the bell he shook his head - and retired. After three it was scored 29-28 Fornling twice and 30-27 Morrell. What the referee did or didn´t do is a big question and also the poor cornerwork. There might be an official protest.
Ditlev Rossing, 90,3, Den W10-U Soso Abuladze, 88,0, Geo
Rossing won the vacant WBC Youth title on scores of 100-90, 98-82 and 99-91 in what became a dull, tactical fight with Abuladze cutting of the ring and being picked off by the bigger Dane. Abuladze knew how to make it difficult for Rossing and was dangerous with his hooks. Rossing outboxed Abuladze but could never hurt or even stun his opponent.
Oliver Meng, 63,5, Den W4-U Giorgi Biladze, 65,3, Geo
Biladze touched down in the second but made Meng work for his win with his switchhitting style. 40-35 on all cards.
Jonas "Tiger" Madsen, 78,3, Den W10-S Andreas "Discofinger" Lynggaard, 78,8, Den
Madsen retained IBF Youth title and won "the Battle of Denmark" in what was the fight of the night and maybe the best fight seen in a Danish ring in many years. Madsen started fast while Lynggaard looked rusty and hesitant - but as the still green Madsen became too eager he walked into a heavy right early in the third and from now on it was an allout slugfest with having their moments. Lynggaard had the punch and the slicker moves but Madsen kept a higher workrate. In the final seconds of the tenth it looked as if Madsen was hurt but he made it through to the last bell and won a split decision on scores of 97-93 and 96-94 with 96-94 for Lynggaard.
6x3: Pierre Madsen, 112,8, Den TKO 4 (0.42) Davit Gogishvili, 111,5, Geo
Gogishvili, not that bad but overweight and out of shape, was down in the second, twice in the third and twice more in the fourth - all but one from bodyshots. Looks like Madsen is finally learning to handle southpaws (at the third attempt).
Enock M Poulsen, 63,5, Den W10-U Guadelupe "El Lupe" Acosta, 62,8, Mex
Poulsen won the vacant IBF Youth title on scores of 98-91 twice and 100-91. Acosta was game and kept trying and when Poulsen tired a bit in the later rounds he had his moments - but overall Poulsen dominated and stunned his opponent several times but couldn´t hurt him. Acosta had a point deducted in the eighth for losing his mouthpiece for the third time.
6x2: Sarah Mahfoud, 57,0, Den TKO 4 (0.47) Nana Chakvishvili, 57,3, Geo
One way traffic in this one. Chakvishvili took a steady beating and should have been rescued sooner. Chakvishvili was more or less defenceless against the ropes when the towel finally came in and it was stopped. 30-26 twice and 30-37 after three.
