Lolenga Mock

May 18, Aarhus, DEN, Vibyhallen, Mohammed Tehrani / Colosseum DK / MTK Global
Lolenga Mock, 74,5, Den  W12-S  Mateo Damian Veron, 76,2, Arg
Mock won the vacant IBA title with a little help from the referee and judges. It was scored 114-112 on all cards. Veron had a point deducted in the 7th for holding and in the tenth for pushing. Mock was badly hurt late in the second and was on shaky legs in the 10th and 11th. He kept it close, kept cutting the ring off and not only that kept smothering Veron without every being very effective but it made for a very tough fight, lots of wrestling and holding and Veron got all the blame and all the close rounds went to Mock, who for the first time I´ve seen him looked downright shot with fading timing and punch resistance - but he did work very hard and made it close but he did not win this fight.
6x3: Thulasi Tharumalingam, 70,4, Ger  TKO 4 (1.28)  Giorgi Bliadze, 71,1, Geo
Bliadze, out of shape as he was, was worn down, floored twice in the fourth and it was stopped. TT came in as a sub for Kim Poulsen.
4x3: Frank Madsen, 70,5, Den  KO 2 (2.33)  Maksim Dembovskis, 69,1, Lat
The first was very even but early in the second Madsen landed with a right and Dembovskis got under pressure and was finally knocked out by a right to the body.
6x3: Shakhobidin Zoirov, 55,0, Uzb  TKO 1 (2.20) Mishiko Shubitidze, 51,5, Geo
Olympic gold medalist vs a concentration camp prisoner ... note the weight difference and Shubitidze have a very skinny build. It was stopped after two knockdowns and the towel came in.
Shariyar Weissi, 88,0,  Den  W4-U  Murat Novalic, 87,0, B & H
40-36 on all cards. Weissi started well but tired along and so did Novalic, who´s better than his record.
6x3: Hurshid Tojibaev, 60,2, Uzb  W6-U  Irakli Shariashvili, 60,2, Geo
60-54 twice and 60-53. Tojibaev showed good skills but he couldn´t hurt his tall opponent despite going all out in the final round.
Haris Dzindo, 78,2, Den  W4-U  Benjamin Skender, 78,0, B & H
40-36 twice, 40-35. Skender tired badly but kept grunting and tried hard but lost clearly.
4x3: Loison Loizou, 96,1, Cyprus  KO 1 (1.25)  Pauls Vilbergs, 87,3, Lat
Vilbergs proved to be an inept newcomer and this was a horrible mismatch. Loizou ended matters with barrage topped by a left hook. Vilbergs was badly hurt, got up before ten and out but was ruled out - and it could have been stopped.
