8x3: Samo Jangirov, 90,3, Katrineholm, Swe W8-S Marcus Alberts, 90,2, Stockholm, Swe
Jangirov retained the Swedish cruiser title after another tough fight on scores of 78-75 and 77-75 and an out of line 78-75 for Alberts. Alberts tried to use his reach and size but was outworked in the first four by his shorter opponent. In the fith Alberts was stunned by a right but late in the round Jangirov misunderstood the signal from the timekeeper and Alberts jumped on him as he walked to his corner and that moment changed the fight. Alberts put his punches together in the sixth and Jangirov was cut over the left eye. Marcus kept landing in the seventh but Jangirov came back in the 8th for a strong finish.
4x3: Salah Nazar Taha, 72,3, Swe W4-U Aliaksei Vaureniuk, 72,3, Blr
Taha, a southpaw, started slowly but took over the fight after that and won on scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37.
6x2: Lukas Dekys, 65,3, Cze W6-U Panagiotis Matsagkos, 66,7, Gre
This fight was made when Daniel Brodin (ex Gustavsson) pulled out. Dekys had the speed and smartness and tied up Matsagkos when he got close. A messy fight and the Greek should have done more. Dekys was at times almost shadowboxing with light punches. It was scored 59-56 twice and 58-56 but it looked close enough for draw to me.
4x3, c: David Loy, Swe vs Andrey Knyazev
Loy pulled three days before the fight due to a back injury.
