Fight Life VII
6x3: Pezhman Seifkhani, 110,5, Swe TKO 4 (0.26) Milen Paunov, 96,4, Bul
Paunov, a short stocky brawler, was a sub for Radek Varak and landed a good right upercut to Seifkhani's chin early in the first but that was that. Seifkhani took over and hurt Paunov to the body. Late in the third the Bulgarian doubled over and was given a standing eight count. Paunov came out for the fourth but was under pressure, sat down and it was stopped.
6x3: Marko Calic, 81,9, Cro/Swe W6-U Pawel Martyniuk, 81,4, Pol
60-52 on all cards. Martyniuk had points deducted for holding. There was a big gap in class between these two. Calic is very good but seldom steps it up and that makes for nice exhibitions but no quick endings.
8x3: Samo Jangirov, 89,4, Swe W8-S Marcus Alberts, 89,8, Swe
Jangirov retained the Swedish cruiser title on scores of 77-76 and 78-75 on two cards and third read 77-75 Alberts. It was a close fight, hardfought all the way with Jangirov fighting from a southpaw stance most of the time. Alberts was the busier man and won on my card 77-75. Jangirov leads 3-0 against Alberts - but this time he looked lucky to get the call.
6x3: Niclas Elfstedt, 75,6, Swe/Mal W6-U Tijan Kebbeh, 75,5, Swe
Elfstedt won the vacant Swedish super middle title on scores of 58-56, 59-55 and 59-56. It was tough fight but with no highlights.
6x2: Karina Kopinska, 60,3, Pol W6-U Claire Sammut, 60,1, Mal
Kopinska, with her wedding a few days away, won on scores of 58-56, 59-56 and 59-55. Sammit, a crude slugger, was outboxed most of the way.
6x3: Marios Kallios, 104,3, Gre/Swe TKO 3 (not out) Nemanja Kerezovic, 121,6, B-H
Kerezovic was worn down by by bodyshots and went down in the second and retired with a busted nose at the end of the round.
6x2: Marianne Ahlborg, 68,6, Swe W6-U Luiza Davydova, 70,2, Rus
Ahlborg is all about strength and power but seems to lose her boxing all the way. She won on scores of 58-56, 58-57 and 59-55 which was fair if one go by her abilities on wrestling on the inside. Davydova scored with good counters but too few of them but still looked like the winner.
4x3: Stevo Babic, 70,3, B-H W4-U Mike Phanivong, 68,9, Malmö, Swe
Babic found a home for an overhand right and kept landing it while Phanivong, a 38-year old debutant, looked old, slow and heavylegged. Phanivong was hurt in the last round and took a beating. Babic looked soft but plugged away for a clear win on scores of 39-37 twice and 40-36.
