Zapir Rasulov

July 17, Berlin, GER, Columbia Theatre, Troja Boxing Group, gba
65kg: Zapir Rasulov, 66,8, Ger  W8-U  Nestor Faccio, 66,3, Uru
It was announced as a "catchweight" fight at 65kg but both weighed over that. Rasulov made a slow start and allowed Faccio to attack but was sharp with left hook counters. In the fourth he hurt Facchio for real but instead of going down the Uruguayan fired back and nailed Rasulov good. On top of that Rasulov seemed to tire as well. Rasulov was in trouble in the fifth as well but Facchio seemed to lose a little steam and Power F Boxing's star survived and got the win on scores of 78-74, 80-74 and 77-75. Facchio deserved at least a draw and was cheered by the audience.
Michael Kannler, 53,8, Ger  W12-U  Jozsef Ajtai, 55,3, Hun
Kannler won the vacant GBC super bantam title ion scores of 118-110 twice and 120-108. Ajtai ran and Kannler chased without cutting the ring off and that made for dull fight with no highlights.
10x3: Robert Larsen, 75,6, Den/gba  TKO 4 (end of)  Turgay Uzun, 75,3, Ger
Larsen won the vacant German Int'l GBA Veteran title when Uzun retired and didn't come for the fifth due to some kind of rib injury. The bell rang for the 5th and the MC announced it as a tko 5 but the GBA insists on "end of" even so. This was a sparring session but Larsen hurt Uzun to the body and the 46-year old was down in the third. He did better in the fourth but the 47-year old Dane prevailed setting up a rematch in the fall in Denmark.
Rasul Alautdinov, 116,9, Rus/Ger  W6-U  Giorgi Tamazashvili, 118,5, Geo
59-55 twice and 60-54 in a slowpaced fight between to overweight fighters.
6x3: Lelito Lopez, 74,5, Ger  TKO 3 (1.12)  Giorgi Kerdikoshvili, 72,7, Geo
Kerdikoshvili retired with an injured arm and was second best anyway.
6x3: Mike Jäde, 72,2, Ger  KO 5 (2.30)  Chris Herrmann, 72,4, Ger
Bad knockout in the final fight of the evening. Jäde's timing looked way off but when he finally connected it was lights out for Herrmann, a tricky spoiler with a fragile chin. Herrmann was down in the first and second and had a point deducted in the fourth after wrestling down Jäde.
Konrad Kozlowski, 77,6, Ger  W4-U  James Edward Ocran, 79,8, Ger
Prodebut for both and a wild, exciting brawl where Kozlowski wanted it more and won on scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37.
4x3: Jiri Jaros, 62,7, Cze  TKO 2 (0.47)  Daniel Drafi, 63,5, Hun
The stylish Jaros was much too good for this green debutant. After a quiet first he opened up and hurt Drafi with a barrage of punches.
Felix Raab, 82,5, Ger  W4-U  Mazen Gierke, 82,3, Ger
Gierke took the fight on short notice and took a beating but kept smiling and gave Raab a good workout.
Maciej Stawicki, 70,8, Pol  W4-U  Danni Alwan, 69,1, Den/gba
39-37, 39-36 and 40-36. Stawicki outboxed the stocky Dane and won clearly. There seemed to have been a knockdowin in the third but with no count given.
Ali Hussein, 72,3, Den/gba  W 4 (40-34)  Giorgi Jintcharadze, 73,3, Geo
Jincharadze had two points deducted in the 4th for holding. Hussein kept trying to land with big bombs with his hands down but missed a lot and it was a messy fight.
