EURO RESULTS

By Per-Ake Persson

June 11, Essen, GER, Wohnbau Arena, Sandro Baruth, gba
10x3: Awadh Tamim, 110,1, Tan/Swe  KO 9 (2.33)  Shkelqim Ademaj, 126,0, Ger
Tamim, on a Swedish license, won the vacant WBFoundation Int'l title by knocking out Ademaj in the ninth round. Ademaj was also floored in the sixth and Tamim was well ahead on points after nine. Bogus title or not, gba show or not, this was good win for Awadh and put his career back on track. 30 day suspension for Ademaj.
Patrick Korte, 106,4, Ger  D10-S  Jorge Alejandro Arias, 110,0, Arg
96-95 Korte, 95-95 and 97-93 Arias.
Ilias Essaoudi, 72,1, Ger  W6-U  Aleksander Kallashi, 72,0, Ger
58-56 on all cards.

30 day suspension for Monib.

Kem Ljungquist

June 11, Ringkobing, DEN; ROFI Centret, TK Promotion
10x3: Kem Ljungquist, 108,8, Den KO 2 (2.57) Paata Aduashvili, 104,5, Geo
Aduashvili was down from nothing much early in the second and was knocked out by a hard southpaw left to the head. He sat down and allowed himself to be counted out.
6x3: Jacob Bank, 73,6, Den  KO 3 (0.57)  Idaas Redjdal, 74,0, Fra
Impressive performance by Bank, who quickly established his jab and followed up with right hooks to the body. Redjdal, who has seen better days, landed with a good right in the second but Bank took it well. In the third jab-right hook body made Redjdal go down and out. His face was badly marked up.
6x3: Payman Akbari, 59,3, Den  W8-U  Bukhuti Tatashvili, 60,1, Geo
80-72 on all cards. Tatashvili bled badly from the nose from the fourth round onwards but did his best. It wasn't enough though and he was outboxed by Akbari, who again showed a lack of fighting spirit, balance and punching power.
6x3: Jeppe Moller Christensen, 90,0, Den  KO 1 (2.57)  Slava Margishvili, 88,6, Geo
"Pain Train" just kept coming and walked through everything Margishvili threw at him - and the Georgian took a knee after some extra heavy bombardment from the Dane and sat the count out. Christensen likes to fight a bit too much.
4x3: Khybar Akbari, 66,1, Den  D4-M  Konstantine Jangavadze, 66,5, Geo
39-37 Akbari and 38-38 twice. Akbari had a good first but faded after that only to come back a little in the final round.
