Sep 16, Nykobing Falster, DEN, Kem Ljungqvist Promotion
10x3: Kem Ljungqvist, 98,0, Den W10-U Benoit Huber, 94,6, Swi
Ljungqvist won the vacant WBC Int'l bridgerweight title on scores of 98-92 twice and 97-93. It was scored 40-36 Ljungqvist and 38-38 twice after four. I think I heard 78-74 on all cards after eight. It was a tough and exciting fight where Ljungqvist seldom used his jab and superior reach but instead waited for Huber to open up with his big, wide hooks that were surprisingly effective. The Dane's size and weight told down the stretch where both were tired. Huber came on a few weeks notice for South African Chris Thompson.
4x3: Jacob Porsgaard, 75,7, Den  KO 2 (1.14)  Nehrudin Cikaric, 73,3, B-H
Bad mismatch. Cikaric was down twice - and he was counted out as he rose after the second knockdown.
4x3: Wilfried Florentin, 100,8, Fra/Lux license TKO 2 (1.11)  Soso Abuladze, 101,0, Geo
Florentin is under a three year suspension in France after a brawl at an amateur show where he beat up a 60-year old coach. Of the three years one is "tough" and began on April 22 and he was thus not allowed to fight until April 22, 2023. So he got himself a license in Luxembourg and off he went. Abuladze was so fat and out of shape that the police at the airport didn't believe he was a professional boxer.
4x3: Heva Sharifi, ?; Den  TKO 1 (1.01) Jasmin Mahalbasic, 72,0, B-H
Bad mismatch as the totally inept Mahalbasic was punched in the head numerous times - something he was totally unprepared for. He was counted out the second time he retired himself.Frank Madsen, 73,6, weighed in but called the promoter late in the evening and reportedly asked for more money. He didn't get it, pulled out due to "illness" and at 23.45 Thursday night Heva Sharifi stepped in. Madsen in turn had stepped in for Haris Dzindo at 10pm Wednesday evening.
