Awadh Tamim
March 4, Örebro, SWE, Tegelbruket, Fight Life Promotion (Kamran Kabinejad)
8x3: Awadh Tamim, 108,7, Stockholm, Swe TKO 3 (2.04) Pezhman Seifkhani, 115,4 , Örebro, Swe
Tamim won the vacant Swedish heavyweight title in a sensational slugfest that resembled a bad Hollywood-movie but was for real. Tamim is known for his straigt forward style and fragile chin. Seifkhani has had it easy for some years when he's just fought bums and he knew of course about Tamim and his weak chin and probably thought this would be over easily. But Awadh suprised everyone with a slow careful start with Seifkhani attacking. Tamim landed a good right and the local man backed off. In the second however Seifkhani went all out and Tamim's legs soon looked shaky but he fought back until nailed by a left hook and went down - but got up and fought back like a Tanzanian lion and Seifkhani punched himself out. In the third Tamim hurt his opponent, who by now was almost out on his feet due to punches and exhaustion. He went down along the ropes, got up but Tamim, himself a bit unsteady, poured it on and Seifkhani went down again - and it was stopped and a big upset was a fact.
6x2: Patricia Berghult, 64,2,, Swe TKO 3 (not out) Maria Elena Maderna, 65,0, Arg

6x3: Marios Kollias, 104,3, Gre/Swe KO 4 (2.47) Andrea Pesce, 111,1, Ita
Kollias worked Pesce over with sharp left hooks to the head and body. Pesce just spoiled but when told not to hold he backed off and was nailed by a right and it was a bad knockout but Pesce soon recovered.
4x3: Paolo Magui, 61,3 Swe W4-M Marian Wesolowski, 61,7, Pol
39-37, 39-38 and 38-38. Fastpace and a good fight with many exchanges
4x3: Johannes Vinasco, 76,4, Swe W4-U Adam Cieslak, 77,0, Pol
39-37 twice and 39-38. Cieslak was tough and kept coming. Vinasco, back after a long layoff, worked hard, too hard at times, and when he tired Cieslak attacked.

Kabayel was hurt in the second and with only the ropes holding him up he was counted over but came back and hurt Smakici.
