Fight Life 12 - The Comeback
8x3: Pezhman Seifkhani, 114,2, Swe W8-U Awadh Tamim, 108,9, Swe
Seifkhani won the Swedish heavyweight title and put his career back on track with a unanimous decision over Tamim, who was down in the sixth and hurt in the final round. It was scored 80-72, 79-72 and 79-72 - all numbers that were generous to the local man. Their first fight was a slugfest but this one was more controlled with both sticking to their respective battleplans. Pezhman fought on the retreat looking to counter his opponent protecting himself well. Tamim kept coming and tried to stay close and also kept doing Ali shuffles trying to provoke Seifkhani, who did explode in third claiming he had been fouled. Referee Mikael Höök had a busy afternoon but did a good job and the two calmed down - and when the final bell rang they hugged.
4x3: Paolo Magui, 61,8, Swe TKO 4 (not out) Senad Karic, 61,7, B-H
Karic was floored in the second and three times in the third - it should have been stopped sooner and Karic retired after the third.
