Rahman injured and postponed battle with Povetkin

A hand injury to Hasim Rahman causes the cancellation of the fight with heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin, scheduled for next July 14 in Hamburg, Germany.

Povetkin fight with his mandatory challenger Rahman was mandatory to determine the absolute king of the division; for this reason, the Championships Committee will evaluate the situation and make a decision later in the day.

Povetkin is undefeated in 24 battles, with 16 knockouts, while the interim king, American Rahman has 50 wins, with 41 knockouts, seven defeats and two draws.
