EBU flyweight champ [Silvio Olteanu] will defend the title against Italian veteran [Andrea Sarritzu] September 29 on the island of Sardinia.

 

 

The fight will be promoted by OPI 2000 who won the purse bids with an offer for 35,617,00 EUR. Round Zero, also from Italy, finished second with a bid for 34,000,00 EUR while Olteanu´s promoter, Rimer Boxe from Spain, ended up third with a rather meager bid for only 13,500,00 EUR.

 

Sarritzu comes off a loss to IBF champ [Moruti Mthalane] while Olteanu stopped another Italian, [Giuseppe Laganà], in the first defence of the title he won with a close, disputed decision over [Valery Yanchy].
