Ukrainian featherweight [Oleg Yefimovich] have pulled of the fight against EBU champ [Alex Miskirtchian] due to a serious hand injury that will take a long time to heal. Miskirtchian vs Yefimovich was a mandatory defence by the champ and was set for October 27 in Charleroi. To save the promotion and the date the EBU have allowed Miskirtchian to make a voluntary defence and opponent will now be Italian [Suat Laze].

Polish cruiser [Mateusz Masternak] fights Spaniard [David Quinonero] September 15 in Bamberg and is now also mandatory challenger for EBU ruler [Aleksander Alekseev] as [Firat Arslan] has withdrawn as official contender to challenge WBO king [Marco Huck]. Alekseev vs Masternak will - if all goes well Sep 15 that is - go to purse bids September 18. Alekseev is promoted by EC Box Promotion while Masternak is with Sauerland Event.

Ex-pro [Jean Pierre Younsi] have passed away at the age of 63 in France. Younsi was military champ as an amateur and turned pro in 1971 and fought professionally through 1977 taking on the likes of Perico Fernandez (twice), Dave Boy Green, Fredo Roelands, Erkki Meronen and Walter Blaser. Younsi, 19-14-3, fought twice for the French jr welter title.

39-year old American journeyman [Bruce Rumbolz] returns to Austria a third time to fight on an Iron & Steel Promotion October 13 in Guessing. Rumbolz have lost his previous two fights there and is a long losing streak. So why have him back? It turns out that Bruce and promoter Otto Lorenz have become good friends and this time Rumbolz brings his family with him and the opponent, [Mounir Toumi], is beatable.
