SULAIMAN ASKS QUESTIONS TO IOC PRESIDENT

27/11/2012 - 23.00.24

Don Jose's three questions for Jacques Rogge

The President of the WBC asks three gentle questions to the honorable president of the IOC Jacques Rogge.
1 The AIBA, the amateur association from 100 years, has announced to all, it’ll retire the word “amateur” from its operation and rules now that it will begin its professional stage.

If Mr. Rogge is supporting this, we would wish to know if there is an agreement with the IOC that only the AIBA fighters participate in the Olympics or also the WBC, IBF, WBA and WBO boxers can take part with the same rights as the AIBA’s?
2 By eliminating the name and position of amateur boxing from all of its affiliates in the world, we would like to know if the IOC would accept another organization exclusively to the development and organization of amateur boxing?
3 The AIBA has requested that its affiliated members:
A)  Eliminate or disqualify from their organizations all members who belong or have relationships with the WBC, or other professional boxing organizations describing with adjectives that can be cause of  lawsuit.
B) To amend its regulations so AIBA becomes the governing organization of every Boxing Federation.
C) That only professionals fight in AIBA tournaments to participate in the Olympics.
D) veto countries such as the United States, Romania and the Ivory Coast, ordering the change of the country's boxing authorities to replace them with sympathizers of AIBA.
Respected Sir Rogge, rumors insist that the IOC and yourself are firmly behind the movements expressed above, some or all of which may be classified as a monopoly and restricting the right to free trade. We ask you kindly respond to us the truth of these rumors that are already public in the world, because they are important points that affect the development of our activities in world boxing.
