EU lightweight Edis Tatli, 18-0, could be making a voluntary defence of the title February 15 in Trieste, Italy, against Italian-based Cuban Brunet Zamora, 23-1-2.

P 3 Boxing in Finland, headed by Pekka Maeki, confirms negotiations but says there is still a long way to go as neither boxer wants to leave their homebase.

Zamora went 0-1-1 against former (?) P 3 Boxing fighter Denis Shafikov in EBU title fights at jr welter and is now dropping down to lightweight.

Newly crowned EBU cruiser champ Mateusz Masternak, 29-0, inherited former champ Aleksander Alexeev as mandatory challenger and the EBU have set January 14 at noon as deadline for purse bids or agreement.
 
Alekseev. 23-2-1, was EBU champ earlier this year but was stripped of the title when he due to illness couldn´t go through with the mandatory defence against Masternak but was promised another chance at the title once he got well.
 
However, today, EC Box Promotion announced that Aleksander, IBF # 4, will fight a IBF eliminator for the vacant # 1 spot in the ratings against Philadelphia´s Garret Wilson, IBF # 3.
 
EC have set February 22 as date and have two sites in the works, Cuxhaven, Germany, or Galati, Romania.
 
The winner of Aleksander vs Wilson is likely to fight a final eliminator against Pole Pawel Kolodziej, IBF # 2, for the right to challenge IBF champ Yoan Pablo Hernandez.

Rising EU lightheavy champ Orial Kolaj, 5-5 in the fall of 2011 but now 10-5, will defend the title against Pole Dariusz Sek, 17-0-1. The fight will go ahead in Rome with Buccione Boxing Team promoting it with date to be announced.
