Euro NewsBy Per-Ake Persson Former WBO (interim) and EBU jr middle champ [Lukas Konecny], 48-4, will step to middleweight and is featured on the undercard to the rematch of WBO supermiddle titlist [Arthur Abraham] and [Robert Stieglitz] March 23 in Magdeburg. Opponent is to be announced.
The 34-year old Konecny (pictured) won the interim WBO title by knocking out Salim Larbi and then lost to current WBO champ Zauerbek Baysangurov in his last fight this past October.

British lightheavy [Tony Bellew], 19-1, has been nominated as official challenger for EBU lightheavy champ [Juergen Braehmer], 39-2. There´s now a period for negotiations before the EBU call for purse bids.
Both men have their eyes on world titles though and Braehmer also won a WBO eliminator when he beat Eduard Gutknecht and won the EBU title.

Polish lightheavy [Dariusz Sek], 18-0-1, will now face Brit [Ovill McKenzie], 21-11, for the vacant EU title and the EBU have set March 12 as deadline for purse bids.
