June 17, Espoo, FIN, Ringside Gym, P 3 Boxing
Ville Piispanen, 68,9, Fin W 4 (40-36) Jurijs Ivanovs, 68,9, Lat

June 15, Aarhus, DEN; NRGi Arena, 1750, SPAG (Sauerland Promotion AG / Nisse Sauerland)
Patrick Nielsen, 72,5, Den KO 4 (1.34) Crispulo Javier Andino, 71,8, Arg
Nielsen, trained by Joey Gamache, dominated this all southpaw clash and defended the WBA I/C title and floored Andino with lefts to the body - and Andino stayed down the second time. He showed nothing.
Dennis Ceylan, 58,8, Den W6-U Yordan Vasilev, 59,6, Bul
60-53 on all cards. Vasilev was down in the third and is not what he was while Ceylan is very stylish and box well - but with no power.
10x3: Arman Torosyan, 71,0, Berlin, Ger TKO 7 (1.39) Reda Zam Zam, 71,5, Den
Zam Zam was out to show something to his fans but Torosyan held up under pressure and Reda´s chin and punch resistance is long gone and while Zam Zam was ahead on points (59-55 twice and 57-57) after six he was fading hampered by a cut over the right eye and then Torosyan floored him once, and again - and then a lengthy timeout followed to have Reda´s mouthpiece rinsed and replaced - but Zam Zam went down again and it was stopped. This comeback should never have been allowed to happen.
6x3: Micki Nielsen, 90,7, Den TKO 2 (2.37) Marko Angermann, 83,5, Ger
Angermann came in as a late sub and was out of shape and too small for cruiser. He was badly cut over the left eye and heavily floored by a left hook to the body when stopped.
Torben Keller, 69,5, Den W8-U Michael Schubov, 69,5, Ger
80-72 on all cards in a messy fight with few clean punches although Keller dominated.
Simen Smaadal, 78,6, Nor W6-U Artem Solomko, 76,7, Blr
59-55 twice and 58-56. Solomko forced Smaadal to work hard for his win but was stunned every time Smaadal connected.
Erik Skoglund, 79,2, Swe W8-U Lorenzo Di Giacomo, 78,0, Ita
80-72 on all cards. Skoglund injured a finger on his right hand in the second and worked the body well while Di Giacomo, bleeding from the nose, showed his experience and skills in spurts but was outworked.
Anthony Yigit, 65,5, Swe W4-U Jan Balog, 68,5, Cze
40-36 on all cards in another all southpaw clash. Yigit pretty much did what he wanted but he couldn´t hurt Balog
4x3: Otto Wallin, 100,0, Sundsvall, Swe, prodebut (DOB: 901121) TKO 1 (2.57) Roman Cherney, 112,5, Ukr
Wallin hurt his inept opponent with a right-left combo in this all-southpaw clash and kept the pressure up until it was stopped.
Rasheed Kasseem, 63,2, Den W6-U Andrei Staliarchuk, 138,5, Blr
60-53, 60-54 and 59-55. Staliarchuk was in it to survive and did that while Kasseem tried hard to do some damage but failed
4x3: Peter Gram, 90,2, Den TKO 4 (2.11) Shahriyar Weissi, 84,4, Den
Gram too strong and mature against the younger (born 940220) but more talented Weissi. Gram held up under pressure and floored Weissi twice in the fourth. It was in my book a tko but announced as a KO.

June 14, Stockholm, SWE, Waterfron Congress, Golden Ring (Robert Stridsberg)
10x2: Diana Prazak, 58,9, Aus/US KO 8 (1.19) Frida Wallberg, 58,7, Swe
Prazak won the WBC female 130 lb title with a come from behind ko of Wallberg. Diana was outboxed in the first three, lost four and five as well but was getting closer, won the sixth, hurt Wallberg with a wide right in round seven and in my book that was that. Wallberg had no legs and seemed gone in the round break. She came out for round eight and began to trade with Prazak but was first floored by a left hook, then a right hook and it was waved over ... and now the trouble begins. Wallberg gets to her feet, Prazak tries to thank and consol her opponent, the doctor looks at Frida, and then hugs her as he wants to comfort her ... and now we have TV commercial. When we return Wallberg is on a stool with Prazak´s trainer Lucia Rijker tending to her with Prazak calling for a doctor ... and now they get a stretcher on wheels that can´t get into the ring. One can´t see when they administer oxygene but Wallberg leaves the ring on a stretcher and have surgery later for what is a subdural haematoma. The doctor, 30 years experience, claims he did everything in the book while it seemed to all outside observers he just stood there.
10x2, w: Patrick Allotey, Gha KO 6 Patrick Bogere, Swe
Allotey retains the WBC Int´l Silver title and took out Bogere with a devastating right hand in the sixth of this bout fought over 10x2 and with ten ounce gloves.
jm: Benjamin Kalinovic, Swe W4-M Michael Obin, Swe
40-36, 39-37 and 38-38.

June 8, Berlin, GER, Max Schmeling Halle, est 5000, Sauerland Event
Marco Huck, 90,1, Ger W12-M Ola Afolabi, 89,8, Uk/US
Huck retained the WBO title beating interim champ Ola Afolabi on scores of 117-111 and 115-113 with a third vote at 114-114. This was their third meeting with looking to fight a more tactical battle than in their previous encounters. Afolabi worked the body while Huck covered up in his upright primitive style and opened up in short bursts. Huck landed with a terrific right in the seventh, then another but Afolabi took the punches well. Huck then looked stunned in the tenth but held on and fought back hard. It was close and difficult to scor but the scoring seemed to be off the wall wirh one card giving Afolabi the first, fifth and ninth, the even scorcard had rounds one, three, four, seven, eight and eleven for Huck while the 115-113 card had rounds one through four, six, seven and eleven for Huck. Note that no-one give Afolabi the tenth where Huck was obvious problems and Marco didn´t get the last from two judges - a round he dominated.
Robert Woge, 78,5, Ger W12-U Dariusz Sek, 78,7, Pol
Woge retained the IBF I/C title on scores of 118-110, 117-110 and 114-113. Sek was down in the first but his slick, southpaw boxing gave Woge a lot of problems. However, the German was too strong in his right in your face style of boxing and wore down Sek, who was cut by the right eye and on the left cheek after headclashes.
Tyron Zeuge, 77,1, Ger W8-U David Sarabia, 76,9, Spa
79-72, 78-73 and 79-72. Sarabia had a point deducted for rabbit punching in the sixth and was hurt in the last by Zeuge´s left hook.
Eduard Gutknecht, 79,0, Ger W12-U Richard Vidal, 78,3, Uru
120-108 twice and 119-109 and Gutknecht won the vacant WBA I/C title. Vidal was willing and tough but not in Gutknecht´s league and was outboxed and almost down and out in the last after a clash of heads.
8x3: Enrico Koelling, 80,7, Ger TKO 5 (not out) Armin Dollinger, 81,0, Ger
Dollinger was outclassed and cut around both eyes and bleeding badly from the nose and his face was a mask of blood. It was stopped with the referee acting on the advice of matchmaker Hagen Doering - a correct move.
Noel Gevor, 91,0, Ger W6-U Juan Manuel Garay, 90,0, Arg
59-55 twice and 58-56. Gevor failed to impress against a strong but limited opponent.
10x3: Youri Kayembre Kalenga, 89,3, Con/Fra KO 2 (2.10) Iago Kiladze, 90,0, Ukr
Kalenga was brought in to test Kiladze before signing with Sauerland and he did just that in a wild punchup that opened the show 6.45 PM. Kalenga came out smokin´ but missed with his big bombs with Kiladze boxing well. However, in the second Kalenga, El Toro, connected with a big left hook that hurt Iago, who was later knocked out by a big right with the referee dispensing with the ten count.
