Euro NewsBy Per-Ake Persson EBU superwelter champ Sergey Rabchenko, 24-0, defends the EBU title against mandatory challenger Cedric Vitu November 16 in Vraza (Bulgaria) on a show promoted by Hatton Promotion and World Sporting Promotion. Rabchencko (pictured) has been preparing in Valence (France) with Nicolas Riffard four weeks already and will now continue training in Hyde (UK) for another six weeks with Ricky Hatton. Vitu comes in with a record of 36-2 and gave Rabchenchko a tough fight in the first outing in November 2012 losing a split decision.
In the chief support will feature EE-EU middleweight king Vitaly Kopylenko, 21-0, from Ukraine taking on Belarus Sergey Khomitsky, 28-9-2.
Unbeaten light welter prospect Kiryl Relikh, 15-0, face the only Bulgarian on the bill in Kristian Dochev, 6-10, in a scheduled eight-rounder on the undercard.
**************** As Italian supermiddle Giovanni De Carolis will fight Arthur Abraham October 26 in Oldenburg he has pulled out of the fight for the vacant EU title against Hadillah Mohoumadi that was set for October 19 in Rome. Mohoumadi remains mandatory challenger and will fight the highest ranked challenger. **************** Newly crowned EBU heavyweight champ Dereck Chisora will defend the title November 30 in London. Who he will fight is to be announced but it appears all the top names are either injured, occupied elsewhere or just not interested. Russian Denis Boytsov was just injured when playing football and was pulled off Sauerland´s October 26 in Oldenburg but could be ready come November 30. Number six ranked Alexander Dimitrenko could also be the one.
