Euro ResultsBy Per-Ake Persson Feb 1, Frederikshavn, DEN, Arena Nord, est 1600, Sauerland Promotion,
Erik Skoglund, 79,1, Swe/Aus TKO 12 (0.58) Adasat Rodriguez, 78,9, Spa
Skoglund retained the EU title by stopping Spanish challenger Adasat Rodriguez 58 seconds into the final round as he landed a right upercut and then referee Phil Edwards stopped it. Rodriguez had lost all eleven completed rounds on all cards and had a nasty gash by his left eye and his face and body was covered in blood - still it was an illtimed stoppage and the crowd bood it. El Toro came out fast but Skoglund, for this evening nicknamed El Matador outboxed him and scored well with his jab. In the sixth Skoglund worked the body well and then went for the head landing with two solid left-right combinations that shook Rodriguez and left him badly cut by the left eye. The blood didn´t get into the eye though and thus the fight continued even though some in the Spanish corner wanted to stop it but was overruled. Skoglund then seemed to tire or lost his concentration and Rodriguez, limited but tough and relentless in his pressure, had a good spell in the tenth.
Cecilia Braekhus, 65,8, Nor/Aus W10-U Myriam Lamare, 64,9, Fra
Braekhus retained the WBC; WBA and WBO female titles on scores of 100-90 and 100-89 twice. Lamare was floored in the seventh. The French lady had a moment in the fourth when she connected with a right but Braekhus took it well and dominated the action in the later rounds with Lamare happy to last the distance.
10x3: Dennis Ceylan, 57,0, Den W8-U Daniele Limone, 56,8, Ita
79-73, 77-75 and 80-72. Ceylan did at times a number on Limone with his speed and slick moves but also posed too much and it became at times a fast paced dance. Limone kept coming though and made Ceylan work for his win.
8x3: Mateusz Masternak, 90,5, Pol KO 4 (2.34) Sandro Siproshvili, 90,0, Cze
Mastermak made a lethargic start but then got to work and took out Siproshvili with a short counter right. He´s now trained by Piotr Wilczewski. It was scored 30-27 on all cards after three.
6x3: Micki Nielsen, 91,0, Den TKO 2 (2.29) George Tevdorashvili, 89,5, Geo
It became a joke of a fight as Tevdorashvili just couldn´t stand up and went over as soon as Nielsen tried to push him off. It was after one semi legit knockdown and two pushes. A knockdown in the first after a southpaw right hook looked genuine though.
6x3: Anthony Yigit, 63,5, Swe/Aus TKO 3 (1.55) Radoslav Mitev, 64,0, Bul
Yigit was sharp and scored with clean shots in bunches and Mitev went down after a series of straight southpaw lefts had landed. Mitev took a beating with the Swede landing to the body and head. A right hook made the Bulgarian go down again and it was stopped.
6x3: Kasper Bruun, 65,0, Den W6-U Andrei Staliarchuk, 64,5, Blr
60-52 on all cards. Staliarchuk was down in the third and fifth and Bruun was out to prove something and put up a good performance against a decent journeyman and won clearly. Bruun even had Staliarchuk under pressure in some rounds and the Belorus held on for dear life.
6x3: Alexander Hagen, 79,3, Nor TKO 3 (1.14) Roman Javoev, 78,4, Blr
Javoev, a southpaw, was awkward but nothing much and Hagen floored him in twice in third before it was stopped.
6x3: Tim-Robin Lihaug, 76,2, Nor KO 3 (2.32) Alexander Runde, 77,0, Ger
Fighting stiffs on the BDF circuit in Germany teach you nothing and Lihaug was too sharp for Runde, who was down in the first and twice in the third. It was ruled as a KO but technically it was a tko.
Feb 1, Monte Carlo, MON, Salle des Etoiles, K 2, Golden Gloves and who else?
Gennadyi Golovkin, 159,5, Kaz/Ger TKO 7 (1.20) Osumanu Adama, 159,25,
WBA super champ / IBO bauble holder Golovkin floored Adama in the first, sixth and seventh to retain the titles.
Roman Belaev, 146,25, Rus/? W12-U Dean Byrne, 146, Uk
Belaev won the vacant WBA I/C title on scores of 119-109 twice and 120-106 with Byrd in trouble in rounds eight and ten.
Jarrod Fletcher, 159,25, US W12-U Max Bursak, 160, Geo/Ukr
115-111, 115-112 and 114-112. Bursak had points deducted in rounds two and six for pushing his opponent. The vacant WBA Int´l title was at stake.
Ilunga Makabo, 193,75, TKO 2 (1.53) Ruben Angel Mino, 199,75, Arg

Again, no upset as Feigenbutz can fight and punch a bit.

Kabayel took out Letr with a left hook and it was a bad ko.

Jan 25, Stuttgart, GER, Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, est 10 000, Sauerland Event, FvA
Marco Huck, 90,5, Ser/Ger TKO 6 (1.56) Firat Arslan, 90,1, Tur/Ger
Huck retained the WBO title with an impressive stoppage of Firat Arslan. After a slow first the challenger pressed forward well protected with hands high and scoring with a fine left upercut. Huck tried to fight off the ropes but had problems getting through. However, in the fourth he began to work the body of Arslan and the pattern of the fight changed. It was still hardfought and even going into the sixth when Huck opened up going all out and Arslan went down. Huck tried to finish it but had to regroup before opening up again scoring another knockdown. Arslan got up this time as well but was hurt and out on his feet when ref Mark Nelson made a well timed stoppage with Huck on his way to a bad knockout. 49-47 twice and 48-47 for Huck after five.
10x3: Tyron Zeuge, 75,8, Ger W10-U George Beroshvili, 74,6, Geo
Zeuge floored Beroshvili in the second with a sharp left hook but then appeared to lose interest and / or focus and had to settle for a dull points win to win the vacant WBO Youth title on scores of 100-89 on all cards.
Emanuele Blandamura, 72,4, Ita W12-S Marcos Nader, 72,1, Aus
Blandamura won the EU title on scores of 117-111 and 115-113 with 115-113 for Nader on the third card after twelve fastpaced difficult to scor rounds of boxing. Neither can punch but Nader appeared to land the heavier punches while Blandmura kept busy and took over in the final rounds with Nader fading.
10x3: Enrico Kölling, 79,1, Ger TKO 3 (2.08) Paata Aduashvili, 79,2, Geo
The outclassed Aduashvili was floored three times in the third by lefthooks to the body before it was stopped. Aduashvili showed again what these boxrec records means in reality and was simply out of his league against a prospect like Kölling.
8x3: David Price, 112,8, Uk KO 1 (2.00) Istvan Ruzsinkszy, 110,8, Hun
Konstantin Airich, who in turn was a sub for Evgeny Orlov, failed the medical and Ruzsinszky, in town to fight Otto Wallin, was upgraded to opponent for Price. The Brit took some time but then took out out Ruzsinszky with two righthanders. The Hungarian looked fat and out of shape.
8x3: Noel Gevor, 90,2, Ger KO 7 (1.45) Loris Emiliano, 87,0, Ita
Gevor looked good in outboxing Emiliano scoring with fine jab and floored his opponent in the second with a solid right. Emiliano kept coming but was hurt by a right and a double left hook in the seventh and went down and out taking the count on one knee with the hook to the body doing the most damage. 60-53 after six.
Otto Wallin, 99,1, Swe W4-U Ferenc Zsalek, 98,5 or 90,5, Hun
Zsalek came in as a very late sub and looked fat and out of shape. He had a point deducted in the third for deliberate headbutts. In the fourth Zsalek was deadtired and close to being stopped. Wallin was overly careful and could have done more to get his opponent out of there.
