Euro NewsBy Per-Ake Persson Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev have relinquished his position as mandatory challenger for the EBU title held by Dereck Chisora. The already announced showdown between Chisora and Tyson Fury, on 26th July in Manchester, is thus also a defence of the title for Dereck as well as a final WBO eliminator. Pulev is mandatory challenger for IBF but both he and Chisora wating for the same man in WBO, IBF and WBA super champ Wladimir Klitschko.

"King" Arthur Abraham (39-4) defends the WBO supermiddle title May 3 in Berlin against Nikola Sjekloca (26-1). Sjekloca, a good boxer but lacking in the power department, begins as a huge underdog against Abraham, who put in a career best performance last time out in winning back the title with a points win over Robert Stiegliez.

Nadjib Mohammed have withdrawn from his position a co-challenger for the EBU lightheavyweight title. In the other corner is Igor Michalkin and the EBU will now get the highest ranked available fighter to accept the position as mandatory challenger. If one go by the latest rating Eduard Gutknecht appears to the one but if he´s available remains to be the one.

Michalkin will take part in a IBF eliminator June 21 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, against US-based Ukrainian Anatoliy Dudchenko.

EU heavyweight champ Johan Duhaupas defends the title against Finn Janne Katajisto April 5 in Abbeville (France). The fight is announced as on but Katajisto´s promoter Markus Lammi stated this weekend he had yet to receive a contract. Per-Åke Persson
