Featherweights Rudy Encarnacion (29-23-4) and Juli Giner (13-0-1) fought this past weekend in Barcelona and battled to a split draw after ten fastpaced, good rounds of boxing with the Spanish title at stake.

 

They will do it again and this time with Encarnacion’s EU title at stake.

 

The EBU are calling for purse offers and all bids will be opened at the office in Rome June 11 at noon.

 

 

Z! Promotions have notified the EBU that Johan Duhaupas’ defence of the EU heavyweight title against Erkan Teper will go ahead June 13 in Munich. Z! Promotions won the purse bids May 12 with an offer for 30 250 Euro.

 

 

WBO # 6 superbantam Zsolt Bedak defends the WBO Euro title June 6 in Budapest against an opponent to be announced. Lajos Mark Nagy, # 6 WBO, defends the WBO Youth middleweight title in the co-feature and undefeated supermiddle Balasz Kelemen is featured in an eight rounder. One of Hungary’s best amateurs in recent years, Imre Szello, will make his prodebut (well, he previously fought in the WBS) on this show. The 30-year old Szello fought in the 2008 Olympics as a lightheavy and won a bronze in the European championships 2011. The show is staged by Felix Promotion headed by Felix Racz.

 

 

Lightheavy Enrico Koelling (13-0) take on Frenchman Patrick Bois (11-2-1) June 7 in Schwerin on the undercard to Braehmer vs Bolonti. At stake is the vacant WBA I/C title. Neither man is a puncher but both can fight and this is an exciting matchup. Koelling fought in the 2012 Olympics while Bois turned pro 2011 and won and lost the French title in 2013.

 

 

Hungarian heavyweight, manager, promoter and agent Zoltan Petranyi, almost 48 come fighttime, defends the national and UBO Euro titles June 15 at the plush Hotel Aquincum in Budapest against Andres Csormos: Should Petranyi win there are rumors of another defence abroad. In a supporting bout Zoltan Sera take on Ferenc Hafner for the WBFed Int’l superwelter title.
