The German Federation, the BDB, (one of many on the mark but the one that holds the important membership in the EBU) have changed the result of Saturday’s fight between Christina Hammer vs Ann Sophie Mathis from a disqualification win for Hammer to a No Contest.

 

Mathis was dq:d for punching behind the back of the head while it was pretty obvious that the punches were legal and landed on the ear.

 

If Mathis was guilty of holding and hitting or had her left hand tied up by Hammer while punching with her free hand is a matter of dispute though.

 

This means that the WBO female superwelter title remains vacant while Mathis remains WBFed champion.
