EBU lightweight champion Emiliano Marsili retained the title Saturday night with a unanimous decision win over Hungarian challenger Gyorgi Miszei, Jr. It was scored 116-113 twice and 118-116.
 
 
In the chief support Diego Velardo should have fought Andrea Di Luisa with the Italian 168 lb title at stake but Velardo - with gloves on - suffered what appears to have been a panic attack and eventually pulled out of the fight.

Next up for former EBU welterweight champion Leonard Bundu (31-0-2) is a final IBF eliminator against Canada-based Romanian Jojo Dan (33-2) . Bundu´s promoter Mario Loreni have according to Italian sources signed a deal with Al Haymonto to make the road over there a little smoother.

Veteran welterweights Gianluca Branco (48-3-1) and Rafal Jackiewicz (46-11-2) clash for the vacant EBU title November 22 at a site to be announced in Italy with OPI 2000 promoting. Jackiewicz thus make a quick return to boxing after a very brief career in MMA. As late as in August he was lined up to fight for the IBO belt in Germany vs Rico Mueller but pulled out, had a farewell to boxing fight but is now back.

WBFed superwelter champ Anderson Clayton from Brazil defends the title against Belgian puncher Sasha Yengoyan (29-1-1) October 3 in Gent (Belgium) on a show put on by Claude Van Den Heede. Clayton was an unlikely champion to begin with but stopped Frenchman Sebastien Madani and then salvaged a draw in a rematch and this is his third defence.
 
In supporting bouts cruiserweight prospects Bilal Laggoune (16-0-1) and Ryad Merhy (9-0) continue their respective buildups. Laggoune face Frenchman Jeremy Ouanna (14-9) while Mery is in against Cedric Kalonji (8-2).

Nothing is official or confirmed but WBA regular lightheavy champion Juergen Braehmer is rumored to be defending the title December 6 with site to be determined but Leipzig have been mentioned. If correct, this is the final show for Sauerland Event and ARD under the current contract.

EPBC middleweight champion Mike Gjetan Keta defends the title in Bulgiza (Albania) against Russian Marat Khuzeev (21-9). Keta fights out of Munich (Germany) but Bulgiza is where he was born and the homecoming show is promoted by his older brother Jonny.

WBFed supermiddle ruler Bernard Donfack (20-11-3) defends the title against Christian Pawlak (20-5-1) October 11 in Saarbruecken (Germany). The show is promoted by DOG Event & Boxing Company headed by Oliver Heid.
