KHAN BELIEVS ALEXANDER WILL BE A TOUGHER FIGHT THEN BROOK

Amir Khan believes Devon Alexander will be a tougher fight than IBF champ Kell BrookAMIR KHAN reckons facing Devon Alexander is a much tougher task than taking on IBF champion Kell Brook. The Bolton fighter goaded his Brit rival by claiming he avoided Alexander to get an EASIER world title fight.
Undefeated Brook, 28, saw a potential fight with former IBF champion Alexander fall through three times due to injury to both fighters before Shawn Porter beat the American.
The Sheffield fighter then dethroned Porter but Khan - who faces Alexander on December 13 in Las Vegas - reckons he waited for the easy option.

Khan, 27, said: “At this time, this is probably a tougher fight than Kell Brook, even though Kell Brook is a world champion.
“Styles make fights and this is a tough fight. It’s more action, there’s more going on in this fight.
“I could have taken an easier fight and fought Kell Brook in the UK, but that’s not the fighter I am. I want the exciting fights, the tough fights.
“That’s no disrespect to Kell Brook, but if it had been against Kell Brook, it would be an easier fight because he doesn't throw as many punches and he's quite easy to hit, even though he beat Shawn Porter, who beat Devon Alexander.
“Styles make fights and maybe the style of Porter suited Kell Brook. Maybe that's why he pulled out of the fight against Devon twice.
“I know Kell beat the guy who beat Devon, but if Devon fought Kell, I think he would probably beat Kell.
“It just shows he was smart about it by not taking that fight and then taking somebody he could beat.
“I want to give the fans what they want and they want to see this fight between me and Devon - and that's what they are getting.”
Sheffield star Brook – who is currently recovering after being stabbed in Tenerife two months ago – will be left fuming as Alexander also criticised him.
Alexander believes Brook still has to prove himself despite having the belt the former two-weight world champion once owned.
The American said: “I think Khan is a harder because he has been around the game, he's been around the top level, like me, more than Brook.
“So I do see it as a tougher fight.
“They are both good fighters and both of them would come to win. I just see that Amir Khan is more dangerous than Kell Brook at the moment.
