Patrick Nielsen against George Tahdooahnippah
March 14, Ballerup, DEN, Ballerup Super Arena, Sauerland Promotion
12x3: Patrick Nielsen, 76,0, Den TKO 8 (0.01) George Tahdooahnippah, 75,5, US
The Comanche Boy showed nothing, he was down in the third after two southpaw left hooks to the body and did even less after that with Nielsen unable to put his punches together. After the seventh mr T´s corner retired their man. The vacant WBA Int´l title was at stake.
Dennis Ceylan, 56,7, Den W10-U Dmitry Kirillov, 56,3, Rus
97-93, 100-90 and 98-92. Ceylan, much bigger, used his reach and speed well while Kirillov showed glimpses of the fighter he once was especially in the mid-rounds. In the last three Ceylan took over as Kirillov faded.
8x3: Otto Wallin, 107,9, Swe TKO 2 (2.32) David Gegeshidze, 117,8, Geo
Gegeshidze was big and fat and pawed with his left and tied up Wallin as soon as he got close. Otto had problems with his timing and was too eager to impress. Gegeshidze tired badly and finally fell down as Wallin missed and it was stopped.
8x3: Oscar Ahlin, 77,5, Swe KO 1 (2.44) Alvaro Gaona, 77,8, Mex
Ahlin impressed in reading Gaona first flooring him with right. Gaona got up and tried to punch with Ahlin, who made him miss then caught his opponent with a perfect left hook and it was ten and out in the act of rising.
4x3: Kai Robin Havnaa, 89,5, Nor TKO 4 (2.26) Patrick Linkert, 88,4, Ger
Havnaa went all out to say the least and punched himself out but Linkert was too exhausted to make him pay and it was finally stopped with Linkert wrestled/pushed/punched around.
10x3: Tim-Robin Lihaug, 76,0, Nor TKO 2 (2.37) Slavisa Simeunovic, 75,4, Ger (?)
Lihaug won the first then floored Simeunovic with a left hook to the body and the end looked near - but then the towel came in and even Simeunovic looked surprised - he had no business fighting a ten rounder anywhere.
Abdul Khattab,72,5, Den W6-U Mikheil Khutsishvili, 72,3, Geo
60-54 twice and 60-53 in a no-knockdown affair. Khutsishvili was tough, willing and kept coming and took everything coming his way - and that was a lot - without getting hurt or even stunned.
Kevin Lerena, 94,4, RSA W6-U Igor Pylylpenko, n/a, Ukr
60-53 twice and 59-54. Pylylpenko had a point deducted in the last for losing his mouthpiece a third time. Lerena forced the action while Pylylpenko was a live opponent in the first three, then survived the last three.
March 14, Charleville-Mezieres, FRA: Salle Dubois-Crance
Igor Mikhalkin, 79,2, Rus/Hamburg, Ger KO 9 Hakim Chioui, 78,5, Fra
Mikhalkin retained the EBU title in a mandatory defence. Chioui did well but couldn´t handle Mikhalkin´s power and was down in the fourth and sixth and finally in the ninth.
