EURO NEWSBy Per-Ake Persson Spanish Maravillabox Promotions bid 12 610,00 Euro in Rome at the purse bids for Rudy Encarnacion’s defence of the EU featherweight title against Sofiane Takoucht (29-3-1). There were no other bidders. Date and site is to be announced.
Encarnacion (33-24-4) vs Takoucht is a quality matchup and the bid given seem rather low and it’s doubtful this fight come off.
Takoucht lost a final IBF eliminator in 2014 to Alex Miskirtchian and previously held the EBU title.
As for Encarnacion he’s fought everybody all over Europe often given away weight.
