EURO RESULTS

By  Per-Ake Persson

April 25, Ystad, SWE, Surbrunnsparken, 425 (paying), Armand Boxing Promotion
4x3: Sven Fornling, 80,5, Malmö, Swe  KO 3 (1.16)  Josef Krivka, ?, Cze
Krivka was a late sub for Bujar Sejdiu, who was denied a visa to enter Sweden. This killed the special permission for 6x3. Krivka came in on the day of the fight but appeared relatively fit but is bascially a bum - but with some punching power and Fornling is pretty much straight ahead and walked into several left hooks. Krivka fell apart as soon as he got under pressure and was down twice in the first, once in the second and finally for the count in the third.
Granit Bylylgashi, 80,5, Kos/Ger  D4-M  Martin Martinjak-Rupcic, 80,5, Cro
38-38 twice and 39-37 for Rupcic, who landed with at least a few punches in a very wild wrestlingmatch.
Simon Henriksson, 69,6, Malmö, Swe  W4-U  Aleksandar Chukaleski, 68,6, Sofia, Bul
40-36 on all cards. Henriksson dominated and scored well to the body but it was mainly armpunches and Chukeleski survived a nosebleed.
Artur Movsesyan, 56,6, Georgia  W4-S  Edward Björklund, 57,3, Ystad, Swe
Two green fighters and a messy fight where Movsesyan knew a little more than Björklund. 39-38, 39-37 and 37-39.
6x2: Anna Hultin, 57,2, Swe  W6-U  Sopio Putkaradze, 56,4, Geo
60-54 twice and 60-55 but it was closer than that. I had it 59-56 for Hultin.
6x2: Johanna Rydberg, 51,1, Helsingbort, Swe  W6-U  Xenia Jorneac, 52,1, Rom/Ger
59-55 on all cards. Rydberg gave away the first vs her southpaw opponent but then poured it on for a clear win.
4x3: Omar Abdul Majid, Landskrona, Swe  vs Janis Puksins, Lat
This fight was nixed as Puksins had fought on Wednesday in Russia. Puksins was a late sub for one Aleksandrs Birkenbergs. Majid was thus left without a fight in what would have been his prodebut.
