March 8, Copenhagen, DEN, Hotel Scandic Sluseholmen, Danish Fight Night (Bettina Palle 10x3: Hamza Hussein, 90,5, Den W10-U Niklas Rasanen, 90,3, Fin Hussein won the vacant WBC Int'l Silver title on scores of 99-91, 97-93 and 98-92 after a close, tense, tactical all southpaw battle. Hussein, bigger, stronger, younger with only eight amatteur fights behind him worked behind his jab while Rasanen showed good defence and slick moves waited for too long. After four it was scored 40-36x3 for the Dane. Hussein began to tire in the seventh but kept himself together even though Rasanen came on a bit in the last two but it was too little, too late. After eight it was scored 79-73 twice and 80-72. 8x3: Oliver Zaren, 76,2, Den TKO 4 (0.57) Samuel Cavret, 76,6, Fra Cavret did well and even stunned the Dane in the third - but Zaren was too strong and broke through in the fourth. Cavret was floored by a straight right and after the count Zaren opened with the Frenchman against the ropes and a left hook floored him again and it was correctly stopped. 6x3: Mathias Hansen, 120,0, Den KO 1 (2.57) Elvis Smajlovic, 115,3, B-H Smajlovic was floored three times. Both looked too heavy but Hansen had the skills, punch and will while Smajlovic was just there for the payday. Technically it was tko win but ruled as a KO. 6x3: Nicolay Piddubnyy, 104,4, Ukr/Den KO 1 (2.26) Tomas Makula, 96,3, CzeMakula, billed as 3-0, was rather inept and the referee re-introduced the standing eight count as the Czech turned away after being hurt to the body. Makula did that twice and finally sat down a third time and it was stopped. Again, the official ruling was KO. .6x3: Brage Lange, 114,6, Nor KO 1 (2.30) Marko Vucevic, 110,0, CroVucevic was knocked down by a right over the top and another knockdown followed - and a third and it was called off. March 7, Skanderborg, DEN, Kulturhuset (est 500 SRO), Danish Boxing Promotion 8x3: Ditlef Rossing, 89,3, Den W8-U Krzysztof Stawiarski, 89,3, Pol 80-72x3. Rossing boxed carefully behind the jab and didn't really open up until he hurt Stawiarski with a low blow in the seventh. He should have had a point deducted but instead went all out. The Pole, stocky, tough and willing, kept fighting back though. I had 79-73 Rossing. 4x3; Rasmus Mikkelsen, 63,1, Den TKO 3 (2.14) Amiran Abuladze, 63,4, Geo Mikkelsen was floored in the first by a right hand that silenced his many supporters but came back in the second. Abuladze was a spent force in the third and went four times after body punches. 4x3: Thorbjorn Boudigaard, 90,6, Den TKO 3 (not out) Giorgi Tevdorashvili, 90,6, GeoTevdorashvili ducked so low his head almost touched the canvas and threw wild swings but flopped over twice in the first. In the second he swung wildly while Boudigaard tried to box. Tevdorashvili appeared to have a point deducted in the second and when the round ended he gave up. 4x3: Enock Mblizi, 66,5, Den W4-U Nukri Gamgebeli, 66,6, Geo 40-36x3. Mblizi boxed well against an aggressive opponent who kept coming but was never effective. Mblizi showed a bit of the same class as Enock Poulsen. 4x3: Oliver Maximilian, 63,4, Den TKO 1 (2.56) Vladimir Dutov, 63,5, Mda Dutov was floored twice - the second time he appeared to hurt his arm and it was stopped. He didn't look good. 4x3: Nikki Moller Nielsen, 75,9, Den W4-U Ruslan Sudarev, 75,3, MdaM any wild punches and many that landed as both slugged it out. It was scored 39-37x3 for the Dane but it looked a draw to me. Nielsen's defence was not good and he caught many punches on his chin - which doesn't look so strong either. |
