Euro ResultsBy Per-Ake Persson April 14, Copertino, ITA: Andrea Manco, 72,0, Ita W 6 Carmelo Terranova, 73,0, Ita April 13, Borge San Dalmazzo, ITA: jm-m: Emanuele Pinzi, Ita W 6 Samuel Da Valle, Ita April 13, Fredrikshavn, DEN, Arena Nord, 1985, SPAG (Nisse Sauerland), DPBF Cecilia Braekhus, 65,6, Nor TKO 3 (1,38) Mia St John, 63,6, US Braekhus retained the WBA, WBO and WBC welterweight titles with a one-sided stoppage over St John in a gross mismatch. St John was never down but said herself she would have retired after the third if it hadn´t been stopped. Mateusz Masternak, 89,3, Pol TKO 9 (1.01) Sean Corbin, 89,5, T & T Masternak won the vacant WBC Silver cruiserweight title but failed to impress in stopping Corbin. Corbin was down in the 8th and again in the ninth and had both eyes almost shut at the end but it was pretty even in the first six with Masternak fighting as if he was afraid of getting involved. It was scored 80-71 and 79-72 twice after eight for the Pole. I had it closer at 77-74. Erik Skoglund, 78,5, Swe W10-U Luke Blackledge, 79,1, Uk Skoglund won the vacant WBC Youth and WBO Youth I/C baubles on scores of 96-94, 96-95 and 97-93 after a fastpaced, exciting fight where "the Machine" Blackledge just kept coming. Skoglund fired back and was close to punching himself out, lost the middle rounds but closed out strongly and passed his first real test in good fashion - but should perhaps have been able to do more against a strong, capable but slow and relatively limited opponent. 6x3: Torben Keller, 69,5, Den W8-U Terry Carruthers, 69,9, Uk 78-74 twice and 80-72. Hardfought and tough all the way with Keller scoring with the cleaner punches- 6x3: Dennis Ceylan, 57,0, UK v Cristian Montilla, ?, Spa Montilla was late in arriving and after a night in Copenhagen he arrived sick to Fredrikshavn and the fight was cancelled. 6x3: Micki Nielsen, 90,7, Den TKO 5 (2.41) Toni Visic, 91,0, Cro Visic was a late sub for Alex Mogylewski and was outboxed by Nielsen, who showed a good jab. Visic was floored in the third, cut on the left cheek and staggered by a combination and reeled into the ropes when it was stopped. Oscar Ahlin, 78,5, Swe KO 3 (2.52) Tim Robin Lillhaug, 78,3, Nor The New Kessler did his thing and picked apart Lillhaug piece by piece. Lillhaug, a strong, decent fighter, kept coming but was floored by a left hook to the body late in the second. Ahlin took some time in the third but then landed with good upercuts and closed the show with a left hook to the body. Anthony Yigit, 65,8, Swe TKO 3 (2.04) Aliaksandr Abramenka, 66,2, Blr Prodebut for former Olympian Yigit, a southpaw, who showed impressive handspeed and handed out a one-sided beating. Abramenka was never hurt but was defenceless against the ropes as Yigit just rained in punches on him. Simen Smaadal, 77,9, Nor W6-U Kristoffer Storm, 78,5, Den 58-55 twice and 59-54. Storm was cut over both eyes and outboxed but kept coming and was in better shape which made for an exciting fight Rashed Kasseem, 62,6, Den KO 1 (1.24) A Sudas, 63,5, Blr Prodebut for Kasseem, who didn´t miss a punch. Sudas went down and out from a left hook downstairs with blood flowing out from his busted nose. April 13, Schwekat, AUS, Multiversum, 1800, Sauerland Event m: Marcos Nader, Aus W12-U Roberto Santos, Spa Nader finally wrestled the EU middleweight title from Santos on scores of 116-112 twice and 115-113. Santos closed as always strongly but it wasn´t enough. h: Erkan Teper, Tur W 8 Timur Musafarov, w: Timo Schwarzkopf, Aus KO 2 Istvan Kiss, Hun c: David Graf, Ger TKO 2 Joszef Nagy, Hun c: Leon Harth, Ger W 6 Bela Juhasz, 6x3, jm: Arman Torosyan, TKO 1 Vasile Dragomir, Rom l: Nicole Wesner, W 4 Zsofia Bedo, Hun April 13, Eberswalde, GER, Sportcenter Westend, gba 8x3, w: Rico Müller, Ger KO 2 Tommy Schmidt, Den The fight was at late notice when Geir Inge Jorgensen pulled out due to illness and injuries and in came Schmidt - the fight was made at 65,5 but it didn´t help the Dane.
